Paxico
Located 30 minutes from Manhattan, Paxico is situated one mile north of I-70, Exit 333/335. Established in 1879, Paxico was named after an Indian medicine man called Pashqua. The railroad reached the community in 1887 and brought German immigrants interested in raising cattle in the beautiful Flint Hills. Today, Paxico features a series of historic buildings in near original turn-of-the-19th-century condition. Visitors enjoy the selection of antiques in this quaint town.
