Voices of the Wind People
Council Grove is home to historically significant "Voices of the Wind People." The biennial pageant in the Old Riverbed Amphitheater near Neosho Riverwalk tells the story of the Kanza Native American tribe that resided in the region, and the tribe's relationship with early settlers in Council Grove. The action unfolds in live-action scenes set within Kanza tepee village and early-day Council Grove set.
