Fort Riley houses two of the finest military museums in the region. Built in 1855 as the original hospital, U.S. Cavalry Museum (Building 205, Henry Ave.), has become the pride of Fort Riley after serving as post HQ and Cavalry School HQ. U.S. Cavalry Museum and 1st Infantry Division Museum are housed in separate buildings on historic main post.
NOTE: The museum complex is closed for major renovations throughout 2018-22. Project completion scheduled for 2022. Find the temporary museum at 247 Cameron Ave and at the Manhattan Town Center Mall.
1st Infantry Division Museum is located in Building 207 with exhibits related to the Big Red One's 101-year history.

9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Mon-Sat
Noon to 4:30 p.m. Sunday
1st Infantry Division Museum hours of operation:
10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday
1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday
Both museums closed on major holidays.
