The Nature Conservancy plays a special role to restore bison to the prairie. Learn about the organization's decade-long agreement with the National Park Service to conserve the most unique bison genetics. Brian Obermeyer directs the Flint Hills Initiative in Kansas and guides whole-system conservation in the broader region. He works with ranchers, landowners and stakeholders to preserve the biological integrity of the unique region.This dialogue with Obermeyer is part of Bison: The American Icon exhibition on display through January at Flint Hills Discovery Center.
