  1. Celebrating 100 Years of History and Heritage: Riley County Historical Museum

    Centennial celebration exhibit showcases 100-plus artifacts and photographs significant to the history of the Riley County community. Notable objects include a section of original seating from Wareham Opera House, penny-farthing bicycle owned by Guy Varney, hand-carved sunflower clock made from local wood for the World’s Columbian Exposition in Chicago, 1893.

    Many objects on view have been rarely exhibited. Centennial exhibition accompanied by series of programs (watch for announcements and check calendar).

  1. Just Tri It Youth/Adult Triathlon

    August 12, 2017, 7:00 AM - 10:00 AM @ City Park Pool

    Great introduction to the sport for youth portions of the race, completely contained within Manhattan City Park. Two youth categories (5-10 and 11-14, both within 2-year age groups). Youth triathlon consists of 50-yard swim, 2.4 mile bike and half-mile run. Adult triathlon consists of 400-meter swim, 12-mile bike and 5-kilometer run.
